    If an applicant has been working without a record of experience in the workbook and without payment of taxes required by applicable law, and if he/she intends to participate in the Saskatchewan immigration program, job experience can be confirmed by letters of recommendation, references, references from employers and clients, contracts. Employers/clients' existing contacts should be indicated in all documents so that, if necessary, it is possible to confirm that the applicant performed the indicated work for them. References must include a detailed description of the work or duties that the employee performed when he/she held any position and be issued on an official letterhead of the company for which the applicant has worked.

    Referral for medical examination, instructions and required documents are issued by Canadian Embassy in Kyiv. After that one must contact the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and book a place, ILC can do it for you according to the instructions of immigration consultant. Then on an appointed day and time one must have medical examination with all family members, if required by the program. Physical examination is performed only by doctors of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), accredited by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada.

    Employers who hire professionals from abroad under Saskatchewan Provincial Immigration Program for skilled workers are aware of the terms of the documents review. Therefore jobs will be retained by the candidate who received an offer of employment at the time of getting his/her documents reviewed and getting visa. However, there are cases of job loss related to reasons of unspecified forces, but it happens very rarely.

    After you submit an application all your data are registered in our corporate database. If there is any vacancy that corresponds to the applicant's education, job experience and his/her wishes, ILC invites the candidate to visit our presentation and to have a pre-screening interview at ILC office, Kyiv.

    During presentation you can find out more about our company, employer's company, requirements and conditions of successful employment and ask your questions. After presentation you will have an interview with our recruiting manager. Depending from the program requirements you need to pass English test at our ILC office.

    Within the framework of some programs and depending from the employer's requirements ILC arranges occupational skills testing for candidates. The majority of such tests are conducted under supervision of employers. If the employer fails to be present there, ILC makes videotapes and takes pictures of testing that are sent to the employer for revision.

    ILC is not involved into searching of the employer for each candidate in particular. It follows the principle of searching candidates whose criteria (occupation, age, experience and English proficiency) correspond to the employer's vacancies. Our Canadian office is responsible for searching such vacancies.

The visa is issued by the embassy of a country that you plan to go to.  Our office is experienced in assisting with applications for our candidates, however, we cannot directly influence the decision of the embassy's visa officer.  We provide international employment services, assistance with family reunification and advice on the immigration process.

    To register for any of the programs, you will need the following documents:

    • Photocopy of domestic passport (pp. 1, 2 & page with registration stamp ).
    • Photocopy of ID code.
    • Photocopy of international passport (p. 1 + all pages with any stamps).
    • Photocopies of education certifying documents: diplomas, certificates, licenses, etc. (apart from secondary education certificate).
    • Photocopy of Ukrainian labour book: all pages with records. If the applicant is officially employed at present, s/he must bring a photocopy of his/her labour book certified by the personnel department of the company for which s/he works.
    • Photocopies of other documents confirming the applicant's work experience: work and character references, contracts, Private Entrepreneurship certificates, etc.
    • Eight (8) colour passport photographs (the frame size of which must be at least 35 mm x 45 mm (1 3/8" X 1 3/4") and taken against a plain white background. The photographs must show the full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the photograph). Note that passport photographs can be taken at the ILC office for an additional fee.

    You may need additional documents during the next stages of the programme. You will be informed additionally about the other documents that may be required.

    The duration of documents processing may vary depending on the many factors such as the type of program, terms of issuing visa by the embassy, level of foreign language skills and others.

    For example, the document processing times for the Canadian skilled worker program may take 9 - 12 months whereas for the hospitality program - 5 months. The processing of meat cutters' documents for the UK depends on how fast a candidate can learn English and achieve fluent language skills.  Document processing times for nurses to Italy can last from 12 to 14 months.

    It is worth mentioning, that all time frames mentioned above are counted from the day the candidate signs the employment contract with their future employer.

    Your work experience can be confirmed by the records in your workbook and other documents such as work references,  employment contracts, self-employed business licences, etc.  We would like to draw to your attention that it is only possible to confirm official work experience.

    N.B.! Each country's embassy employs security services which may check the authenticity of documents submitted.  Any fraudulent documentation may lead to a visa refusal from the embassy to which you have applied and also for any future visa applications to foreign embassies.

    You can apply to our Centre without knowledge of the language.  If there is a vacancy for your occupation and your experience meets the requirements of the company, we will recommend you to them.  However, you should be ready to learn the foreign language either through our ILC courses or through self-study while your documents are being processed and while you wait to be deployed abroad.

    We would like to draw your attention to the fact that some programs require a minimum level of language skills prior to applying to ILC.  For these programs, if you do not meet the minimum required language level, we will not be able to recommend you for participation in the program.  Language level requirements are always shown in the vacancy description.

    No, they do not have to, if a husband and wife both do not sign an employment contract.  Only the person who signs the employment contract needs to meet the employer's requirements. If the employment program allows the family to travel together, then the applicant's spouse can go with the applicant to the country of employment from the very beginning or later after the decision has been made.

    Very often an employer reviews the resumes and the results of each candidate's practical test before inviting him to the interview.  If you have not been invited for an interview or have not been successful due to lack of qualifications, experience or language skills, you can still be considered in the future.  You can choose to updgrade your qualifications or participate in language courses and training sessions organized by ILC.

    If we have new vacancies, which meet your qualification, skills and language level, we will consider you for another interview with a new employer.

    In most cases, to have a possibility to work abroad, candidates obtain work visas. Afterwards, being in new country, you may apply for renewal of your work visa/ residency or citizenship.

    Mainly, Ukrainian specialists take working visas for the opportunity to work abroad. In the future, already being in a new country for a while, you can apply for a renewal of a work visa / residency or citizenship. The conditions will depend on the programme you participate in, and country / province of the country to which you have moved. ILC helps the candidates with the extension of work visas or/and receiving the status of the resident.
