A high level of practical skills is a priority requirement for ILC pre-screening. To check the level of an applicant's occupational competence, ILC arranges practical skills tests for construction workers, welders, truck drivers, CNC operators, butchers and other occupational tests if applicable.
Welders and construction workers skills tests are conducted in cooperation with the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technologies (SIAST). Welding tests take place at the E. Paton Electric Welding Institute in Kyiv, while tests for construction workers are held at local trade schools. ILC also arranges practical skills testing for citizens of other European countries.
Company representatives may participate in such tests, though ILC can produce live-stream video or take pictures of the results of tests and send this information to employers.
All tasks and testing programs are mutually agreed by the employer and future employee in advance according to the duties of the future employee. Testing may cover practical and theoretical knowledge of professional skills.
The testing procedure may be viewed by following the links on the ILC website.
