Competencies required

3 years official and verifiable experience

IELTS certificate, level General 4.0 is required

Company offers

40-50 hours per week

Salary: from $3000 to 5000 CAD/month

Accommodations will be available. Candidates are responsible for cost of rental.

Knowledge of materials, methods, tools, equipment involved in the construction of houses, buildings, or structures.
Capable of following blueprint requirements.
Able to safely perform duties with a minimum amount of supervision.
Mathematical and analytical skills are required.
Good health
Physically fit, able to lift up to 30 kg, no allergies to dust, paint and other construction materials

Key responsibilities

Study blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout, determine dimensions and types of materials required

Select and cut materials according to project specifications using hand and power tools

Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, doors, sashes, interior trim, flooring (hardwood, tile) and hardware

Advise the General Manager of readiness for the electrical and plumbing sub-trades to begin installations

Apply vapour barrier, insulation and finish interior walls, ceiling, and roof using materials specified for the project

Ability to install drywall boarding and tape over joints using taping machine, fill all joints, bail / screw indentations, holes and cracks using appropriate material would be viewed as an asset

Install metal clad or siding to the exterior walls

Maintain records, document actions and present reports as required by the employer

Wear and use approved safety equipment required by the specific task

Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor
