Competencies required

Minimum 3 years work experience as Volvo truck trailer mechanic (trucks, cargo trailers, trailers, tractors, etc.).

Conversational English (an applicant should be capable to handle the interview with the employer without an interpreter).  At the moment of departure for Canada this level shall be equal to IELTS 4.5

Strong knowledge of Volvo trucks components (main units and mechanisms, Volvo trucks basic principles of work).

Ability to read Volvo trucks technical instructions and drawing in English.

Company offers

40 hours per week

Salary: $25-27 CAD an hour, overtime is paid at 1.5 higher

Accommodations are provided by the employer but paid by the candidate

Key responsibilities

Maintenance of Volvo heavy equipment, such as oil changes, lubrication and cleaning.

Troubleshoot problems of Volvo heavy equipment, replace and/or repair components when needed.

A team player with the ability to work individually.

Responsible to do things properly.
