Competencies required

No formal education is required

At least 3 years of articulated truck driving experience

IELTS certificate, level General 4.5 is required  (only for candidates requiring a visa to trevel to Canada)

Equivalent class 1A license is required

Company offers

maximum 40 hours/5 days per week

Salary: $20,19 CAD an hour. Overtime is paid at 1.5 higher

Accommodation is provided by the employer, paid by the candidate

Health insurance and other benefits

Experience in driving in winter conditions and unfavorable roads
Heavy Equipment operators would be suitable

Key responsibilities

Operate and drive trucks to mainly local routes and short inter-urban routes, not normally in excess of 2 hours driving time each direction.

Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading.

Operate and drive trucks that transport gravel, sand and cement - such as (but not limited to) dump trucks, gravel or salt mixing trucks.

A lot of getting in/out of the vehicle to mix and dump slurry.
