Competencies required

Graduates from Agricultural Universities.

At least 2 years of official experience in dairy farm (6 months of official experience in dairy farm abroad).

Conversational English (an applicant should be capable to handle the interview with the employer without an interpreter).

To be able to drive a tractor.

Company offers

50-85 working hours a week. During calving period – 80-85 hours/week, milking period – 55-60 hours / week, dry period 50 hours / week. Schedule may change depending on the season and work downloads.

Salary: from $37000 New Zealand dollars per year. Depending on the work experience of the candidate.

Accommodations at the farm are provided by the employer, but paid by the candidate. Candidates with families will be living in individual buildings.

Key responsibilities

Dairy plant Set up.

Dairy plant cleaning.

Milking cows.

Help cows give birth (assist with calving).

Make hay and silage, lay drains.

Build and mend fences.

Pasture assessment, sowing grass and crops.

Fix mechanical equipment.

Safely and skillfully handle powerful machines, and drive quad bikes, motorbikes and tractors.

Test soil.
