Competencies required

3 years of work experience as a mechanic

Conversational English (an applicant should be capable to handle the interview with the employer without an interpreter).  At the moment of departure for Canada this level shall be equal to IELTS 4.5

Company offers

40 hours per week

Salary: $25-27 CAD an hour, overtime is paid at 1.5 higher

Accommodations are provided by the employer but paid by the candidate

Key responsibilities

Maintenance of heavy equipment (tractor trailers, excavators, water trucks, concrete pump vehicles, hydrovac trucks etc.) such as oil changes, lubrication and cleaning

Troubleshoot problems of heavy equipment, replace and/or repair components when needed

Test repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure that issue has been resolved

Time and inventory tracking

Must have a track record of being thorough, working independently or with others and responsible/reliable to do things properly
