Svitlana, a wife of Ukrainian car mechanic, shares her experience about setting up her own business

As far as I haven't used to have nothing to do, I decided to set up my own small business. I obtained Business registration License very easily and quickly. On September 20, 2012 our Party Decor Company has started to work.

My husband came to Canada in 2008. Before it, he worked as an auto mechanic in Ukraine. I am a nurse, massage therapist by profession and I came to Canada in May 2011.

I enjoyed Canada very much. But if you want to work within your specialty, you should confirm your education level and know English language perfectly. That's why in 2012 I decided to go on English language courses in Parkland College.

As far as I haven't used to have nothing to do, I decided to set up my own business, all the more, at the end of 2012 our older daughter came to Canada to help me. In Ukraine we had a company which provided services in decorating holidays with balloons. That's why I decided to run the same business right here, in Canada. I obtained Business registration License very easily and quickly. On September 20, 2012 our Party Decor Company has started to work.

Our employer, the owner of the automobile showroom in our city, played a huge role in our business development. He gave us the possibility of demonstrating our works and assisted with the advertisement. In addition, my new Canadian friends supported me all the time.

Nowadays our company offers services in decorating corporate parties, presentations, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations etc. We produce souvenirs for adults and children. We have discounts for our permanents clients. We work in Yorkton and its districts. Moreover, we have clients from Regina, Melville, Canora and from many other cities. There are automobile showrooms, educational institutions, banks, radios and others among our clients.
