The Canadian company, Specializing in Galvanizing steel, pipe ,handrails, structural steel, etc. in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is currently looking for Galvanizers. Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG, is the process of dipping fabricated steel into a kettle containing molten zinc. The process provides a distinct advantage over other corrosion protection methods. The employment program provides the possibility to obtain 2-year work permit to Canada
Competencies required
2-4 years in steelwork area, manufacturing plant experience and galvanizing experience
IELTS certificate, level General 4.0 is required
Company offers
40 hours per week
Salary: $17-23 CAD/hour. Depending on the work experience of the candidate.
Accommodations will be available. Candidates are responsible for cost of rental.
Able to safely perform duties with a minimum amount of supervision.
Good health
Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs, no allergies
Key responsibilities
Metal Plating
Moving objects, manipulating steel with overhead cranes in and out of chemical baths,
(caustic soda, hydrochloric acid , zinc and a mixtures of other metals)may clean and prepare metal parts for coating,
Prepare and mix solutions according to formulas ,
Run a forklift, overhead cranes, hand tools (grinders, drills, wrenches)
Previous welding experience would be an asset
