For the past 10 years, the International Labour Centre has been helping young Ukrainians to join the IRWE program, an agricultural exchange program. The program is a unique opportunity to get experience in the agricultural sector, in one of the most developed countries in the world. The areas of training are agriculture (green-houses and the fields), horticulture and cattle breeding.
Program Description
- The program lasts 6 months, with possibility to be extended up tol 12 months.
- Areas of training are crops and livestock.
- Salary is 600-800 EUR (after taxes), the hourly wage is 48.75 SEK. For 2nd year program participants, the hourly wage is 68.20 SEK.
- Working hours: 8 hours per day, from 06:00 to 17:30, 5-6 days per week.
- Accommodations, as part of the requirements, are individualized rooms on the farm.
- Food is the responsibility of the participant.
- 2 days of paid holidays per month.

No previous violations of visa and/or deportation
No criminal record
No health problems
No fraudulant documents
Providing all documents and personal information (including any changes) to ILC in a timely manne
The stages of the program
- Attending a pre-screening interview with the International Labour Centre
- Interview with a Swedish employer
- Preparation and submission of visa documents to Swedish Embassy
- Search for the farm for internship placement
- Confirmation from the farm for internship received
- Departure of the participant to Sweden
