Canadian company is a leading provider of heavy lift and heavy haul services with offerings encompassing crane services, heavy haul transportation, engineering, logistics and support. Company provides these services to the oil and natural gas, construction, petrochemical, mining and power generation industries. The employment program provides the possibility to obtain 2-years work permit to Canada.
Competencies required
4,5 years’ experience as crane operator
IELTS certificate, level General 5.0 is required
Successfully pass a pre-employment and pre-access Drug & Alcohol test
Minimum Class 1 license mandatory with a clean abstract is preferred
Must understand crane safety procedures and demonstrate good safety consciousness
Company offers
40 hours per week
Salary: from $48.50-55.50 CAD/hour.
Accommodations will be available. Candidates are responsible for cost of rental.
Key responsibilities
Crane and hoisting equipment operators service and operate the hoist and swing equipment used to move machinery, materials and other large objects.
Hydraulic mobile crane operators service and operate booms that are mounted on crawlers or wheeled frames as well as traveling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.
Operators manipulate a number of pedals and levers to rotate the crane, and raise and lower its boom and one or more load lines. Some or all of these operations may be performed simultaneously.
Mobile crane operators also may drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation), and set up the machine for the lift (i.e., make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.
