Competencies required

Some formal training as a plasterer is advantageous

1 year of previous experience in performing plastering duties

Conversational English (an applicant should be capable to handle the interview with the employer without an interpreter)

Company offers

8 working hours a day, 40 working hours per week

Salary: 17 CAD/hour, overtime is paid 1.5 higher

Accommodation is provided by the employer, employer is prepared to pay 1st month rent

Key responsibilities

Prepare wall and ceiling layouts.

Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.

Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring using nails, screws, clips or wire ties.

Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.

Mix plaster ingredients in trough to desired consistency.

Perform other duties specified of the employer.
