On April 7 this year, Iryna Matsyuk of International Labour Centre & Immigration Recruitment Services Canada, Inc. (ILC Canada) was the guest speaker at UCPBA Saskatoon's monthly luncheon. Iryna made a presentation about the company, its activities, the benefits and challenges of hiring people from Ukraine, business perspectives and company input into local communities.
ILC Canada is a subsidiary of the International Labour Centre (ILC) based in Kyiv, Ukraine. A new brand name of the Ukraine-based Kyiv Youth Labour Centre, ILC is a recruitment agency with over 10 years of international experience.
The company is a leader in international employment and immigration services in Ukraine, and has placed over 4,500 people internationally.
Since 2004 ILC has been operating in Canada in cooperation with over 70 employers from Saskatchewan and has brought more than 600 families to the province.
ILC Canada target areas of activity include: metal manufacturing, meat processing, agriculture, healthcare, the hotel and restaurant business, and the transportation industry. Today, the company facilitates recruitment projects as well as professional and language training for Ukrainian workers so that they are able to meet the requirements of their prospective foreign employers.
In 2009 ILC entered into partnership with SIAST in the skills passport program ensuring high qualification of employees arriving to work for Saskatchewan employers.
On May 11, 2011 ILC Canada officially opens its Saskatoon office, which will support local employers and employees, contribute to the life of local communities, and continue to support Ukrainian traditions and culture in the province.
The opening of the office in Saskatchewan will strengthen relations and proximity between the company and its stakeholders. ILC's mission is to provide companies with labour market solutions and people with life opportunities.
