Saskatchewan cities lead the nation in economic growth

Saskatchewan's two major cities are riding a wave of economic confidence.

A Conference Board of Canada report released March 27 says that Regina and Saskatoon saw the the highest GDP growth in Canada in 2011. Regina's growth rate was 6.1 per cent with Saskatoon in a close second at 4.8 per cent.

In 2012, Saskatoon is projected to land top-spot for economic growth at 3.6 per cent. Regina is expected to take fourth place with a growth rate of 2.7 per cent.
