Competencies required

Some formal training as a plasterer is advantageous

Candidates must have enough work experience as a stucco plasterer to meet immigration requirements (at least 2 years as a stucco plasterer)

Conversational English (an applicant should be capable to handle the interview with the employer without an interpreter)

Candidates must have experience with stucco applied to outside of the building Candidates should have a driving license for passenger vehicles Candidate must be comfortable working at considerable heights if necessary or on scaffolding above the ground

Company offers

8 working hours a day, 40 working hours per week, weekends and overtime when required

Salary: starting with $20 CAD/hour (brutto)

Accommodation is provided by the employer, candidates are responsible for cost of rental

Key responsibilities

Assist in erect scaffolding and ladders for application of materials to structures above ground level

Clean and prepare surfaces for application of plaster and cement stucco

Install specified insulation to exterior surfaces according to blueprint specifications

Install guide wires to indicate thickness of materials to be used and nail wire mesh, lath, and brick ties to hold materials in place

Mix mortar and plaster to desired consistency or direct others to perform mixing; install foam, reinforcement mesh, base coat, and acrylic to surfaces and/or structures as specified

Apply coatings of plaster or stucco to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings using trowels, brushes, or spray guns

Wear and use approved safety equipment required by the specific tasks

Clean and maintain all hand and power tools used on various projects

Complete other duties as assigned by the owner
