Competencies required

3-5 years’ experience as an Automotive Body Repairer/Painter

Conversational English (an applicant should be capable to handle the interview with the employer without an interpreter). The applicant must have a minimum language score IELTS 4.5 confirmed by a language certificate before applying for provincial nominee certificate (after receiving the job offer)

Strong, healthy, no history of past injuries

Must be eligible for Alberta Red Seal endorsement

Hold a valid driver's license with a clear driver's abstract, and be willing and able to get a Canadian class 5 driver's license within 3 months of arrival

Company offers

40 working hours per week

Salary: starting with $4300 CAD/month, overtime is paid 1.5 higher

Accommodations are provided by the employer, but paid by the candidate

Key responsibilities

Review damage reports, perform estimates of total repairs

The removal of the damaged or defective section, the identification of the type of the material used on the vehicle and determine the appropriate technique to repair the damage.

Removal of damaged glass, glass and windshield replacement

Removal and replacement of vehicle fenders, panels, grills, interior and roof panels

Removal, replacement and repair of doors, frames, closures, interior, front-end components, body components and underbody components

Welding and soldering of various components, as needed.

The removal of rust and other debris from the vehicle's surface - file, grind and sand surfaces

Fill cavities and voids and hammer out dents, buckles and defects in order to create a smooth and even surface

Mask or tape-off details and components to avoid contamination

The clean and smooth application of primer, paints and clear coat (applied by sprayer).

The use of trade standard practices, materials and equipment
