Competencies required
Complete secondary education
2 years verifiable meat cutting experience

English proficiency is a must: to pass interview with employer without translator the candidate should have intermediate spoken level; at the moment of submitting for Canadian work visa, this level should be equal to IELTS 4.5, that is required by the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration in Canada.

 

Ability to lift up to 45 kg

Ability to do repetitive tasks, hand-eye coordination, standing for extended periods

Working around odours in a hot and cold/refrigerated environment

 

Company offers
40 hours per month
Salary: starting with 2560 CAD/month, overtime is paid 1.5 higher
Accommodations are provided by the employer, but paid by the candidate

Key responsibilities

Cutting, trimming and preparing standard cuts of meat for sale to retail and wholesale customers

Determining amount and types of meat cuts to be prepared

Working in the killing and animal slaughtering department, as needed

Keeping records of meat sales

Grinding meats using powered grinders and slicing machines

Preparing special displays of  meat
